The employees are super nice, if you go more than once, chances are they'll remember you and how you like your order! They all work together as a team to ensure each item is correct! I love that they greet us and keep their dining room super clean even during their busy lunch rush! I have eaten here for years now and absolutely love it over all of the other taco inn locations!
I was always an Amigos person just because that's where I went as a kid and where I continued to go as an adult, but I decided to try out Taco Inn recently... and I was won over! I'm not sure exactly why, but the food and the service just seemed higher quality... and everything was clean! (bathroom, lobby, etc.) I ordered the BBQ chicken nachos and a soft shell taco. For a fast food place, the nachos seemed a little pricey at 8.50, but the portion size was BIG. I'm a big eater, and it filled me. And the toppings seemed pretty fresh. I barely had room for the soft taco, but I made it happen. The texture of the soft taco was surprisingly pleasant. I didn't know a soft taco could be so differentiated at a tex-mex place, but I could see myself going back and just ordering several soft tacos for a meal. I've heard the salsa is good, so I'll have to try that out next time.

The only taco inn (or restaurant that I know of) that offers limeade. The stuffs super green but it's the best refresher on a hot summer day. They have both diet and regular and offer a discount on refills if you bring your own cup.
I may be a tad bias, as I worked for Taco Inn all through high school. But there is nothing on the menu I do not like. Everything is made fresh, chips are cooked in store, meat and beans too. It isn't like Taco Bell, where everything arrives in plastic bags. In my opinion, this is the best location in town. Belmont was where I worked, but these days, it feels like each restaurant is doing things a bit different than they used to. When I come to the 70th Street location, everything tastes just how I remember. I like to tell folks about a weird food hack I do... I go to McDonald's and order a Quarter Pounder with cheese (plain), then head to Taco Inn and order a regular nacho w peppers. Dunk the burger in the nacho cheese... it tastes like a heart attack waiting to happen, but it is one of my favorite things to do with fast food Chicken nuggets also work well with this idea.
I am born and raised Nebraskan but moved many years ago, when I come home this is one of my must haves!! I have yet to have any bad customer service or food. The restaurant was clean and staff that was cleaning were nice enough to not clean too close to us while eating. The food tastes just the same as it did years ago. Great experience.
We had just driven from Denver to Lincoln, we were tired, and we wanted to find good and inexpensive food nearby. We noticed that this restaurant was right next to our hotel. Tacos sounded good, so we checked the great reviews on this place …
